We’re in the customer vote for a Bags of Help grant from Tesco. It’s a scheme which gives community projects like us grants of up to £4,000 – all raised from the sale of carrier bags in Tesco stores. There was a multi-sports competition on the 25th of September held at the Hawkhill Community Centre.The Whins, Hawkhill and Dundas Centres all took part. Everyone had a great day. The 2 Hawkhill teams did well taking the 1st and 2nd trophies and The Whins won 3rd bringing back a trophy to the centre. Lunch was provided by Hawkhill and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Thanks to the Hawkhill staff for doing that.

Hawkhill Community Centre will be holding their Annual general meeting in Hawkhill Community Centre at 6:30pm on Wednesday 20th June 2018. All welcome.
A huge thank-you to Declan from Ciara's Cars Alloa for his very generous donation to the Centre. The money will be used to help fund various youth activities.
Our local MP Luke Graham and his team visited the centre today for a spot of gardening. Under Billy's guidance, and with Michael's assistance, the team got stuck in weeding the flower beds and planting seeds in preparation for the better weather.
The first week of the Easter holidays, and the Hawkhill Community Centre youth group set off an adventure to the Great Glen in the beautiful Highlands. The weather was kind(ish), and everyone had a tremendous time.
Special thanks to Clem and Erin at the Great Glen Hostel, all the staff at Active Highs, and to Keith Jack for driving the minibus.
On Wednesday 7th March, DJ Don brought the funk to the Community Centre, as a disco was held to raise funds for the forthcoming kid's trip to the Great Glen.
New children's group Hawkhill Juniors had a visit from Jog Scotland's Jog Scotty.
Jog Scotty introduced the kids to various exercises and games to promote children's keep fit in a fun and creative way.
In the future the group hope to hold more sessions.
On Thursday 8th February at 5pm, jogscotland are running an event at the Centre. Come and meet Jog Scotty and join in with the fun and games taster session!
